Chris Rials is a former coworker and friend. He and Norman bore the brunt of this, they were truly the point on the spear. Huge kudos to both of them for weathering the personal attacks and standing strong.

We personally would never directly benefit from a new school system though. Our youngest kid is a JR.

Sure you would, property values. The values in central/Zachary exploded to the upside after the ISD's were formed.

And frick every company that bowed to racial pressure and petitioned to stay in Baton Rouge and opposed St. George’s incorporation.

This shite is the absolute funniest part of all of this. Mall of Louisiana and Siegen Marketplace fricked, Perkins Rowe stacked

Mall, casino,

The city bribed them by telling them that the only way they could have a bus stop is if they were part of the city. And the “mall” part is only the actual mall, all the anchor stores are individually owned and aren’t part of it.

I would think that the addition of a second major city within the parish will be the beginning of the end for consolidated government in EBR.

Yeah this is next. The NAACP has actually pushed for deconsolidation as well.

That bill was brought by Cleo so he could have a cakewalk into being elected to the US House. Grifting at a Federal level will enrich him way beyond what he could score as a state Senator. And Landry is backing the gerrymandering (which won’t survive a court challenge) to punish Garrett Graves for backing Wags.

This new district is a direct result of a court challenge to add a new minority district under the federal voting rights act. Even the Fifth Circuit is going to approve of this district for two reasons: 1.it complies with the voting rights act
2. It was made with political intent to harm Graves

It amazes me as a BR resident now how bad they fricked this up over the last decade, this was always the end result unless the courts decided to write new legislation..

I selfishly never wanted this to happen but accepted it as a matter of law and spoke directly with Broome years ago along with more important people than me, pleading with her to negotiate the one thing that st George wanted in its own school district. She is directly responsible for all of this

Feel for you baw. The remaining affluent members of BR proper will be absolutely fricked by this and it isn't even yall's fault. Yet another reason to hate the shite hole that is NBR. Too many poor people living off of the government that make too many heavy handed decisions for the whole.

Woodlawn is currently ranked the 172nd best public high school in the state according to this website: usnews.com

Zachary is the 16th best in the state.

Hopefully, STG can finally control some of the shady development deals that have been rubber stamped as under-the-table handshakes that has destroyed this area for the last 15 years. Time to put in ordinances to stop the city from being trashed by various entities.

Here we go. You NIMBYs are so ridiculous. Your house is the last one that should ever be built and no commercial should be built within 5 miles of a house. Please enlighten us on all these terrible developments that have been built in St. George that are destroying the community. Then name the developments that were granted approval because of under the table handshakes. I'll hang up and listen.
