And they’d have to wear pants.

Funding for the proposed $550,000 project to build a children’s playground at Denny Blaine Park, a grassy lawn overlooking a secluded beach on Lake Washington, came from an anonymous donor. At a community meeting earlier this month, Seattle Parks and Recreation Deputy Superintendent Andy Sheffer said that the project would address a lack of playgrounds in the neighborhood without using public funds.

But opponents countered that a playground would jeopardize the beach’s status as a queer haven, where members of the LGBTQ+ community swim and sunbathe in the nude.

quote:

“If you have a person who’s not in the community showing up with their kids, and there are people around who are naked, they’re probably going to call the cops,” Kusold continued. “This is kind of the weaponization of children to try to exclude or harm the queer community. This is just another example.”

Remember when all they wanted to do was be able to marry other dudes?

We should've never given in on that one.

As a single guy with no kids, I love when people call out parents that exploit their kids to get their way.

Also, the LGBTQ+s held their nudie sex beach better than the Germans held Normandy.

Lack of playgrounds disproportionately harms BIPOC children and therefore the alphabet community is advancing white supremacy and white privilege.

Honestly, this is probably in the best interest of the children.

Better than being pushed so that kids can see it and say discrimination if not allowed to be built. Good.

What does being a queer haven have to do with being nude?

Public sodomy and fellatio with multiple random strangers.

herein conservatives will get mad that they can’t build a playground near a gay nudist beach

Not the other way around.

the play should have been accusing the donor of being a pedo trying to lure kids to the beach.
