Another reason this millenial bracket is so stupid. Anyone born in 80's would have likely grown up with antennas or at least understands the concept.

So they arent stupid. They are ignorant. Big difference

With cable/sat cord cutting getting more popular, lots of people are going with free hd channels via antenna plus some streaming channels. I agree it's an old tech but it's actually gaining popularity again.

CBS is a pain in the arse to get in BR

Get a bigger Antenna. And there is no such thing as a Hi Def Antenna.

Channel 9 has a greater loss on an indoor antenna due to its frequency, needing an antenna that is 30" long at half wavelength.

Sure, but I don't begrudge people for not knowing about, what was essentially, a dead technology. I like to shite on millennials for all kinds of things, but I'll give them a pass on this.

weird how local stations don't tell you about the wabbit ears when they get cut off by satellite companies during disputes.

They are cut off because they are asking for more money from the cable companies for something their customers would otherwise get for free. (cable has to pay to offer local channels that are broadcasted over air for free.) I'm not sure having less cable customers is in the local tv stations' best interest at this point.

Wow.. My TV has a good picture, but it has an even better picture when watching network stations on an antenna. I bought one with my TV. How did they not know these stations are free?

I put one of those big Channel Master outdoor antennas in the attic. CBS comes in great. But I have trouble getting 30 and sometimes 33.

the HD antennas are clutch. in the fall when the weather is finally cool, I set up my TV in the backyard for Saturday night college and Sunday night football while I got the grill going .

OTA antennas never went away. Quite a few people still rely on them.

So you're saying stupidity and ignorance are different? You don't say?

What point are you trying to make? My point is that study after study tries to classify this broad range of people in the Millenial generation where there is obviously a big gap between those who grew up with cell phones, fast internet, and cable tv.

Again, we really need to push the birth date back for millennials. If you remember a world without internet, odds are you know that local stations are free.
