My high was around 80, back in my CPA firm days. And it wasn't in busy season. I was a first year, and we had this client that was a chain of supply stores all over the state. We had to do inventory observations one weekend. I had worked in Montgomery on an audit all week, so about 55 hours there, considering we billed for travel time and worked 10 hour days. Then I drove home, heading back to Birmingham around 5. Got home, unpacked, repacked, and drove over to Anniston that evening and did an inventory there. Stayed in a hotel, and got up the next morning and drove to Gadsden the next morning, then Fort Payne that afternoon, and back to Birmingham that night. Each inventory took 2-3 hours. I was basically "on the clock" from 8 AM Friday morning until 10 that night. Then 7 the next day until 10 that night, when I finally got back home.

I did 98 hrs/wk when I was working offshore. Longest shift was two months straight of it.

I was doing fun shite though and I was 26, so it really didn't feel like much at the time.

I forget the exact number of hours, but back when Eckerd Drugs existed, managers earned what we called Chinese overtime. Using simple numbers, if you earned $300 per week, and worked 50 hours, your hourly rate for that week was $6 per hour. You received half that amount for overtime, or $3 x 10 hours, or $30. For the same $300, and a 60 hour week, your hourly rate was $5, so overtime pay was $2.50 x 20 hours, or $50.

However, in the real world, Eckerd's scheduled managers 55 hours per week, so overtime did not begin until your 56th hour. During one two week period when my store was short one manager, my overtime rate, BEFORE TAXES, was 91 cents per hour.

Worked offshore for a few years after college.
84 hours a week minimum the entire time.
Pulled in around 100 hours several times.

PSA to those in your 20’s: if you’re not married and don’t have any kids, go work on the rigs in the Gulf and make some bank.

I worked in excess of 100 hours for seven consecutive weeks. I was in big 4 accounting, and was staffed on what turned out to be the largest financial statement re-statement in history. 7 weeks of 15-18 hour days with no days off. I got a nice bonus that year, and was promoted so got a really nice raise as well.

It also sealed the deal on me not making a career in Big 4 accounting.

16s 7 days a week for a couple of months. I was 19, didn’t bother me at all. Since then I’ve pulled a few 72 hour days. Caught a nap somewhere in the middle.

When I got dragged into a financial audit, I was at the client from 8am - 11pm for 3 weeks. So 70-75. I left before they pulled me back into that one for "continuity."

55-60 were typical for all of Q4 back then. Now I'll hit 50 at least one week a month, but try to stick to 45 at most. Honestly, I probably get as much done in 45-50 today compared to those 75 hour weeks. I don't think many people know just how much you can get done in 40 hours of concentrated, productive work. It still surprises me sometimes.

Don't know about a week, but I've worked 12-16 hours a day, seven days a week, for six months before.

This was close to what I did between 1/15 & Memorial Day during audit seasons for about 10 years in the public world. Only exceptions was I only did around 8 hours on Sundays bc I was always useless until around noon from the night before
