I don't understand how anyone could spend that much on Candy Crush.

Pretty interesting that there is a candy crush thread but nothing on the Sex trafficking allegations and recent news coming out on the Archdiocese of N.O. that local news outlets are reporting

There was literally a thread yesterday.

Because while there are bad apples like this priest who uses tithes to feed his addictions, the vast majority of the money we donate goes to help fund the more than 139,000 secondary and primary schools, the 1,861 institutions of higher learning, and the 5,500 hospitals the Catholic Church owns and operates. That's not even mentioning the countless homes it owns and operates to assist orphaned children.
or the plethora of people the St. Vincent de Paul Society helps (don’t even have to be Catholic), or people helped with free legal guidance through Catholic charities, mental health counseling, homeless shelters - the list goes on.

If that’s what you want to do, then go ahead. I’m not telling you how to spend your money. Just understand with that whatever cause you donate money to, there is no way of knowing if they’re actually using it like they’re suppose to.

It is a very rare day indeed on TD when there is not at least one active thread bashing the Roman Catholic Church. Usually these kinds of threads last weeks if not months.

Tigerdroppings must be one of the most active Catholic-hating websites on the internet.

I will never understand peoples infatuation with playing games on their phone. I'm not talking about every once in a while, I'm talking about hours and hours every day.

After seeing this guy a few years ago, whenever I hear about someone spending that type of time/money; I just assume they look like ole Francis.

They’d start with the F2P, then try to lure you into a track. First it was an upgrade for 4.99, then 19.99, then 49.99, then 99.99. Once you were on that path it was almost a concierge type service because you’d choose clans. Unbeknownst to the user, the clan had game staff that would engage and socialize with you. Once that connection was made, they’d hook you with mandatory upgrades before each event.

My favorite ones to criticize are the apps that have ads that promise real cash winnings.

I would like to know if the government by way of the FTC or even the Ad networks themselves would police gimmicky ads.

One of them I saw was a poorly edited ad that had the casino or app name over dubbed the original ad.

One of them was even voiced or ai voiced to make it seem like Mr. Beast was endorsing an app promising real money if you played just for an hour or 2.
