Three former Baton Rouge police officers were acquitted Saturday night of abuse of office charges that accused one of them of coercing a young woman to perform a sex act on him at a BREC park in February 2014 while his two fellow officers allegedly acted as lookouts.
One of the state's final witnesses, Baton Rouge police Lt. Steve Wilkison, testified Friday that GPS technology showed Bolden's police car was at the park from 9:06 p.m. until 9:51 p.m., the time frame during which the woman said she was forced to perform a sex act on him, and that he was at his house from 10:25 p.m. until 10:48 p.m. He then returned to the park at 11 p.m. and left two minutes laer

Too bad they won't place nearly as much blame on the jury as they will on the private business owners who had nothing to do with the case...

The accused former BRPD officers are African American , so that might be why no riots
?

This is interesting in that the police in this case were black. This isolates the racist component from the "police vs. black community" concern.
Compare this with the Alton Sterling incident. In the Sterling case, it seems reasonable that an officer was in fear of his life with a resisting subject with prior felonies and reaching for a gun.
Here, it is clear that these officers abused their power and that one committed rape. How is it possible they were acquitted?

And in the sterling investigation was done by an outside agency , and this one by BRPD, makes you wonder

No riots. The cops were black. Nothing to see here.

Doesn't match the narrative. Black Lives only matter when the officers are white.

Well no one died in this case so there's one big difference.
Also they were tried by a jury. What more do you want?

Great news that they were found not guilty. When the victim and "witness" lie during the investigation and trial, this is the outcome. The jury saw right through the lies of the victim.
Whats great about it is that the city now owes at least two of these officers about three years back pay. One officer was new and resigned after the BS he had to go through for the false accusations. Good for those officers!!
They were found innocent by a jury of citizens. Awesome job!!
