Rouse’s king cake prices are out of line.

Got one at Winn Dixie at nearly half the price of a similar Rouse’s cake, and it was just as good, if not better. I’m sure this is the case for a dozen other store brand king cakes.

Save your money people. There isn’t one damned thing ‘special’ about a Rouse’s king cake other than it’s exceedingly high price. Fight me.

Someone told me Haydel's is charging $29 for a King Cake.

Bread and sugar icing. Maybe baby prices have gone up?

Wait. Winn Dixie carries Rouse's king cakes? That seems weird.

I've only had one Rouse's king cake and it had an absurd amount of filling. The store only carried jelly filled too, which sucked.

Rouse's is more expensive in general.

This was over a year ago, but I was there and was going to get yogurt. It was $1 a piece. Went to walmart and the price went up to $0.63 from $0.55.

About two weeks later Rouse's was having a sell on yogurt, two for a $1.

They will test the demand to the extreme. I guess they figure people are willing to pay more for certain items than have to go to another store to get them, but that's why if you catch them at the right time you can get some good shite at good prices.

25-35 depending on traditional or fillings pretty standard for king cakes this season…

Rouses was mixing the cream cheese and strawberry filling to make a pink sludge the injected.. had it once… it was not very good

Just go to gambinos

Chicken, this is Lousiana. We dont' have nice grocery stores like HEB, Publix or Kroger. WD isn't necessarily slumming it here.
