I'm over there every other day. They must be doing something. I see them working non stop. That trinity location on 24 is nice. frick. I talked to a buddy over at weatherford. They got this guy doing cosmetic work on their building just to keep him busy.

The oil man's prayer: "Lord, please let there be another oil boom. And this time I promise not to piss it away."

That's because they only have like 1/4 of the employees they had and they are only working 30 hrs a week

Last time I was at Weatherford in Schreiver I was told they were down from 400 employees to 150. That was in October.

The oil industry sure didn't care when gas was $4 a gallon and everyday people couldn't afford it. So I could care less when they are struggling.

Jesus, man. How many roughnecks fricked your wife? You've really got it out for oil workers. Wanna talk about it?

People don't get it. That money is coming from their pockets in some form, taxes will most definitely be raised.

It probably won't be any worse than paying $3 a gallon.

Ok seriously how many times does this shite have to be explained? When gas was $4 a gallon the majority of people who are now being laid off did not make more money. And gas is an extremely cheap commodity when compare to other products that provide nowhere near the service that gasoline does. Look at the rise in cost of goods over the last 50 years and compare things like water, milk, food to gasoline and get back to me.

All the young talent that was in oil is going to be looking for work and branching out into different markets. Many of the best and brightest have been going into oil for a few years now. Don't be surprised when they start taking people's jobs elsewhere.

Lots of grumpy old men who make too much and provide too little are going to have a hard time competing with 28 year old heavy hitters.

I said his last April when I was laid off. It's in my posts numerous times through the beginning of this downturn. I have always felt I could do any job i concentrate on after what I have done in the last 8 years.

The good news is, for each one they fire, they're going to buy back a million dollars worth of stock.

I love it how people can't care less about the oilfield yet comment continuously in every thread about the O&G industry. If someone started a thread on what kind of plants they should plant in their front yard I wouldn't even think about opening it because I actually wouldn't care. Why are you opening threads you don't care about?
