Spin off - do you take your own trash to the dump or pay a garbage company?

we're out in the country a bit so we'd be paying some dude with a dirty pickup truck $30/mo to take our trash instead of some fancy recycle/special trash enforced crap a city might try to shove down our throats.
so i put one of those little black metal cages on the back of my wife's SUV and load her up over the weekend and she takes it to the dump.
BONUS: i don't have to feel guilt or sort shite. trash goes into black contractor bags, THE END.

I live in the city with trash pickup twice per week and recycling once. Yes, we pay for it.

I live in an apartment building so I just throw it all in the dumpster. It's nice because they're pretty hardcore about sorting trash around here.

nashville passed some shite rules where you cant put brush in the trash so you have to pay for a second service to remove it..and you have to buy special paper bags to put it in.
