I think he meant that he's a truck driver.
You have to go to some pretty bad places sometimes.
When I was driving OTR, I stayed heavily armed too.

I almost saw a road rage fight in the middle of Mountain Brook yesterday. Some young punk cussed at a guy in a utility truck driving by. Young dude got out and the utility driver stayed in car, but stopped. Young dude was daring the utility truck driver to get out, but they never did.

Enjoy your six hour ride to the manufacturer to pick up your loaf of bread, followed by a six hour ride to a dairy to pick up your milk, followed by a six hour ride to pick up your sodas, followed by another six hour ride to pick up some of your pharmaceuticals, followed by a ride down to Mexico to pick up your vegetables, followed by a ride out to the plains to pick up your beef and pork, etc etc.

Your conveniences in life come from the trucking industry.

Yep. Up and working while everyone else is sleeping. Was aiming to get around St Louis before the commuters got on the road but I just had a trailer tire blow out. About to take a nap while I wait on the road repair crew.

Some folks don’t understand logistic’s. I think about stuff like that. Let’s talk chickens.

You need lumber trucks to haul the trees to the mill for lumber to build the coops. To move the materials. To deliver feed. To move the chickens to the plant. To distribute the chickens from the plant. To the wholesalers, to the retailers, to Raising Canes. We would be in a bind without truckers.

You might get your wish on the $30 bread, if SFB stays in office.

Why are all of these places 6 hours apart?

That’s just bad planning.

It’s been poppin off in Shreveport the last week, well even more than usual anyway. Not only the usual hood shootings, but multiple road incidents as well.

Because thanks to the trucking industry goods are able to be brought from across the country to regional distribution center and then to the stores you shop at. Without them you either get to survive with what is grown locally or do without, especially when it comes es to perishable food.

Probably a good thing for the young buck because there’s a good chance the utility guy would have shown him the meaning of the term “grown man’s arse whipping”.

Truckers are certainly annoying but at least they serve a vital function.

It’s not like they’re cyclists, whose only contribution is exercising in traffic.

It’s them who should be targeted! And it’s safer. They can’t fit any weapons in those overly tight shorts.

Also don’t have insurance and they rarely follow any rules of the road.

So basically they are like Altima drivers.
