The Soviets were up against the greatest economic giant in the history of the planet, but they decided to finally play ball during one of our greatest moments of relative weakness?
Soviet leaders have never cared about money sinks.

I graduated high school in 1972. I never believed we had men walking on the moon. And I still don't. That was 52 years ago, Why haven't they done it since?
