Had a similar video interview. Was told there was a room full of people present, but the camera was fixed and I could only see the primary interviewer. Was pretty weird. The interviewer would occasionally translate their reactions when something went over humorously. I wound up getting the job though.

What a stupid take. It’s not an unknown meeting; It’s a fricking interview. And completely unprofessional for the interviewers to not have their cameras on.

I’m gonna risk sounding old but I swear you fricking idiot youngsters will do literally everything you can to avoid any and all personal interaction.

Probably. Then again, its likely a boomer doing the hiring and he is likely to hire the candidate that he could actually see.

Nah. When we do the TEAMS interviews, expectation is video is on for all, including interviewers.
