What's the old Youngsville sheriff and city council woman up to these days?

Since I don't live in Louisiana anymore, I don't get much news from that area. I thought I read where he retired or resigned. I thought it was comical and embarrassing how he handled the entire situation. Please tell me he's not police chief in another small town near there!

Boudreaux took a medical retirement and is no longer in LE. Recent audit showed 3,000 tickets were “fixed” and lots of favors done for people who committed violations such as: speeding, no DL, no proof of insurance, no seatbelt, open container, etc … I’m guessing the City of Youngsville lost between $600,000 and $900,000 by fixing tickets. I believe the investigation of Boudreaux’s possible drug use and several lawsuits from former officers are pending. The whole thing is a cluster of a Chief who thought he was untouchable / invincible

Last I heard they were caught doing it in the middle of one of the roundabouts.

Oh she gets drunk, rides around and wrecks an innocents truck, then calls Chief Dumbass to come get her. Fluids are exchanged, err'one loses their job, and life goes on. It seems as if they could just exchange fluids and she could drive sober. Then err'one could stay employed.

The Lafayette Parish Sherrif's Office did an investigation... details here LINK
TLDR: Dude was basically a criminal and mismanaged the department.

WTF!!!!! It's sad when your highest ranking LE officer is the biggest criminal in town!

Who doesn't support this part though? Fines are a scam anyways.

He did favors for the council that called him out for doing favors. Hypocrites, the lot of them.

I read most of the report and it sounds like the residents of Youngsville didn't really have a sheriff, but a criminal kingpin that took what he wanted, when he wanted and the sheriff's office was just a front to conceal his illegal activity.
How is this guy not in jail? I think an investigation needs to be done into the LE state agencies overseeing the daily departmental operations and how this was allowed to happen! Seems like the checks and balances were nonexistent all the way up the chain of command.

So speeding through a school zone or residential neighborhood should be considered “legal” with no fines ? If someone is ticketed for driving with no insurance, the laws have to be enforced and fines collected. If not, then you have a F’d up situation with people driving with no insurance. That brokedick hits you, your wife, your child and causes injury from a car wreck YOU’RE SCREWED.
Since the COY didn’t collect approximately $750,000+/- in fines, the local residents will pay for city improvements by increased taxes.
Boudreaux often said his police department was short-staffed and he needed several more patrol officers. If the idiot would not have fixed so many tickets the PD could have afforded more officers.
