Probably back in the late 80s early 90s.
I doubt they could even fill the dome for 1 night let alone 3.

Me too. I'm taking my 14-year-old son to see them both nights. I didn't realize how violent Ice Nine Kills was before I bought the tickets

I would fly in if Metallica played the Superdome but like the previous poster said rock & metal shows are bypassing New Orleans lately. It didn’t help when GNR & U2 didn’t sell out when they both played there in the last 10 years.

Back in the 80’s and 90’s you had every act on your come through. Stones, Metallica, etc etc. Hell, AC/DC skipped the last album tour in Memphis. The GnR reunion tour that had a 1000 freaking stops skipped past.
As far as rock, now its be happy with Alice Cooper, Smashing Pumpkins, Journey, and a bunch of retreads or else.
