Those are not the choices.

Nah.

No he is not asking for somebody he likes or agrees with to be censored. He’s also not asking for somebody he doesn’t like or disagrees with to be censored either.

Of course he is going to be louder about somebody he agrees with getting censored but for your point to be the gotcha you’re trying to get, you’d have to have evidence that they were for censoring somebody on the other side. There’s no evidence of that.
Your major error (and you are far from alone here) is in equating opposition to something or someone with "censorship".

As always, freedom of speech does not mean freedom from opposition or consequences.

Funny, I think the same of you guys.

Those are absolutely the choices in this case.

You can even pick which side you think is promoting lies.

Nope. I don’t particularly care about who is allegedly telling lies to or not. It is irrelevant.

So you're choosing freedom of speech by "canceling" the band who is exercising their freedom of speech?

I’m shocked that Korkstand has a lame take. Absolutely shocked.

Your error is thinking you control the language. You don’t get to define “censor” how you see fit and then apply it how you see fit.

Censor - to examine in order to suppress or delete anything considered objectionable
i.e. censor the news
also : to suppress or delete as objectionable

People are not objecting to Rogan’s message and leaving it at that. They are saying:

“he goes, or I go.”

“Certain episodes go, or I go.”

“Please don’t have on people that have messages I don’t like or I’m quitting”

Objecting would just be “I don’t like that message. That’s all.”

You’re a hack.

Do you think there is a difference between speech which promotes X and speech which opposes X?

Neither do you.

Yes I have access to a dictionary.

These are examples of freedom of contract. Or also freedom of association (speech).

Don't hurt yourself exercising that freedom of speech so hard!

As usual you do not understand what he is saying. I would think it is a bad business move, but agree or disagree with them, they are expressing freedom of speech. Are they not?

They have freedom of speech to say that they don't think Joe Rogan should be on Spotify and they are making a statement by pulling their music off of it.

You have the freedom of speech to say you don't agree with what they are doing, but you can't deny the fact they have freedom of speech to do what they are doing.

These artists have hated Spotify ever since it started. They just needed a "moral" reason to screw their fans out of their music.

even when they sell half their catalog to the largest financial asset manager in the world?

Neil Young isn’t sticking it to the man. he’s carrying the man’s stick and expecting people to care

Oh wow. OweO and Korkstand on the same side. Now I know that I’m taking the correct stance, morally, physically and spiritually.

Is John Legend under the age of 45?

He seems as likely a candidate as any to pull this shite.
