When a product is forced by the government to be purchased, what do you think will happen to price? It’s no coincidence liability is 85% of your premium.

No, they may have their contract with that carrier pulled or limit what types of drivers they can accept, but they don't get higher rates than other agents with the same carrier.

I'd suggest looking at auto carriers loss ratios for auto liability over the last ~5-10 years. The reason for rate increases is higher claims settlements.

What i'm basically saying is; you can thank ambulance chasers/liberal jurors.

Wait until it quadruples bc of the illegals on the road adding to uninsuredTexas paper plates. If you have assets secure in trust and tell them to bill Biden the rate and join in the uninsured since it seems insurance is unimportant.

Well for one, your graphic is comparing maintenance and repair costs to the Consumer Price Index. Its not saying those vehicle ownership costs went down, they're just down compared to the overall CPI.

Second, that graphic combined maintenance and repair costs. Intervals for routine maintenance aren't as frequent on most newer model cars as they would've been on cars 10-20 years ago. When I started driving, oil changes were every 3000 miles (maybe 5000 with some expensive synthetic oil). Now its at least 5000 for most vehicles with some pushing 10k mile intervals depending on the oil type. Maintenance savings is a non-factor for insurance companies because they don't cover maintenance anyway. Only repair costs related to damage from collision, weather damage, vandalism, etc have any bearing on insurance....and used car prices being up so much.

Medical costs have skyrocketed over the past 20+ years too which factors into insurance claim settlements.

Vehicle prices keep going up. Medical expense costs keep going up. And where do you think the money comes from for injury lawyers to have 75% of the billboard space along most stretches of interstate and to pay LSU athletes for NIL deals

This morning I saw an accident. Two guys outside the trucks talking. All seemed ok to me. Crazy enough one of the leading plaintiff attorneys in town was parked at the other side of the intersection just watching. It was like a SNL skit.

So now we have about 30k in repairs and prob 50 in injury claims.

With the thousands of Illegals crossing the borders on foot, think some have gotten cars? Do they have insurance?

True story. I was in Alabama, stopped to fill up my truck. I happened to be looking at the on ramp of the interstate. A three car pileup. They all got out, looked at each others cars, looked at each other, just a guess, none of the three had insurance. They all got back in their cars and drove off.

I've never met an insurance agent that was struggling. Most are making bank and doing better than a lot of attorneys and engineers. Legalized theft.
