I absolutely cannot understand or fathom what the frick is BRPD’s problem?

Their problem is all these people expecting them to do detective work, solve crimes, and make arrests while they're trying to lay low and collect their paychecks.

Like another poster said earlier, this one has really tore me up emotion wise for some reason.

It's mainly because you can't go anywhere in this city and feel safe. I get that it's 2 am, but that area is clearly around Red Stick Social and where they want to gentrify more towards downtown. The issue is there's still shitty people all over that area that won't let it happen. It also hits harder because it truly feels like we are stuck in this constant circle of incompetence in leadership across the country to not address this insane problem that continues to get worse all over.

If it was stopped, then it was loading or unloading at the plant. Hobos were hiding.

I have an irrational hate for those trains that stop, backup, move forward and block those intersections regularly.

Just as a lot of us expected, multiple young black males on foot.

I’m glad there is a witness to give the family some answers on what happened but from reading that, the police department dropped the ball and not in a hurry either. That was sad to read. All the years of watching the first 48, they are dying to get witnesses and information. This shows you what kind of police department we are dealing with right now.

Occasionally, they have to stop. At least they were blocking it at 2:00 am rather than 2:00 pm.

Holy shite. Kiran could probably solve the case faster than the fricktards who are supposed to do this job.

Seriously, is there any government body over police departments? It would be the FBI right? There has to be something that can be done when you have a police department that is as incompetent as the BRPD is.

The more information that can be provided would make a complaint better. How many kids have been shot and killed that have gone unsolved? The number of murders every year since he has been chief will have to show a trend of more and more murders and other crimes.

The number of police working for BRPD vs the number of police who are currently working.

It would help if the information shows the number of officers who have quit under this administration vs the number that have been hired. The amount of officers who have been arrested, of course the number of murders they have solved vs the amount that hasn't been.

It should be relatively easy to show a pattern of crime spreading throughout the city under this administration.

And might as well show how the mayor has proven she will kick out any reporter who questions anything about the police department. That pretty much says "we don't want the truth to get out".

incompetent black police chief who is excruciatingly stupid working for an excruciatingly stupid and incompetent black mayor. Neither of which give two shits about the murder of a young white girl or the murder of a young black boy.

They are grossly incompetent and should be held accountable to the city for their negligence.

These two guys walked past my vehicle. The train was still at a complete stop. They were walking through the cars of the train to get across the tracks. Not even 10 minutes went by and I heard the gunshots go off,” he said.

Problem is, 100 other people could've walked by in that time frame. Regardless, still a great lead with the red hoodie. Hope they blanket that whole area with flyers to get someone to talk.
The police probably heard the story and figured that it wasn't enough for a conviction so why bother. Nevermind that it is their only lead.

I don't care if they have some solid leads they are following up on. Someone needs to go and talk to this guy (and his passenger).

It also made me think about a young couple that was robbed in the parking lot of Tabby’s back in the late eighties or early nineties. I don’t remember but I think one of them was shot and either died or was paralyzed. Same kind of stupid shite.

Maybe the train started moving again right before the shooting.

The KCS RR yard is about a dozen city blocks north of that location. I know they use to block traffic on Government as they organize the train, Apparently that’s what they were going. Stopping and starting.

Wouldn’t this initially call for the LSP to investigate corruption by local law enforcement? If we are waiting on the eff bee eye, they are too busy trying to prove OMB.
