Bear Claw Mark? (ID help)

Saw this while hiking at Naval Oaks in Gulf Breeze last weekend. It was about as big as my hand. Definitely black bears in the area.

it was a large intact branch of a big oak.

Have to agree here. That’s not from a bear claw. Those marks are too wide to be from a bear.

Not saying you are wrong, but when I look at pictures on google, they look similar.
