I've started spacing out my purchases because a friend of mine did get visited.

I dont even want to be on their radar.

Ar15 discounts.com has 10 Anderson lowers for $399 minus 10% with code ltr_gjmr6cjw (I have no idea.). Free shipping, no tax. $360 TTL.

Was $299 two days ago, and I waited too long. May keep an eye out and see if it goes down again. Still a good deal as is.

Yeah, the problem there is the transfer fees.

I mentioned Bayou Pawn and their deal with PSA (order through them, and they will buy/sell it to you for same price, but only everyday price- not deal of the day).
They also used to do a transfer for full on the first, and less for each extra firearm. Which local to BR, is the best price I could find.
Primary had the same $30 deal on Anderson lowers, and I got 3 sent there. I did the math, and it was slightly cheaper than the PSA prices. They did it, but the next time I went by, they had a sign up saying full transfer price for each lower.

I think the set price is going to be $50-$60 for a lower. I got an Anderson from Bass Pro for $60ish out the door.

*I learned about the discounted transfer price at Bayou doing an auction purchase through them; I got a pair of Astra 400's and an A100. I think it was $60 for total transfer, which tacked on to my total auction cost wasn't terrible.

Scoob, I like your style. Would you be interested in adding a CZ83 with leather flap holster and mags in excellent condition to you collection?

I hear you. My FFL is a high school buddy of mine who gives me one hell of a deal on transfer fees. I’ve never understood FFLs jabbing people in fees. For one it’s easy money. Secondly, it alienates some people from doing business again with you.

I had a pawn shop owner ask me once why I didn’t just buy from him. I told him that as much as I’d love to support LGS I have a family of my own and saving $100 buying from an online dealer was too good to pass up.

If you bought a firearm that the shop has on the shelf I completely understand them charging a little more.

If it is a firearm the shop does not have in stock then I would expect them to understand why you bought the firearm. online.

they have to pay someone to log the firearm, run the background check, and maintain the paperwork for decades. But you call it easy money.

I totally agree. Many people aren’t aware if you buy multiple handguns or lower receivers in a single purchase or buy multiples within a 5 day week the FFL is required to send a notification to ATF on form 3310.4. ATF can(not saying they will) show up at your doorstep to inquire. There are several YT videos where people have documented the visits. You can tell them to pound sand if they show up without a warrant.

We’ll just agree to disagree. The time it takes from the time I walk in to the time I walk out for one pistol is under an hour. If I pay you $20-25 bucks that’s a good hourly rate for providing a service. If easy money bothers you I’ll call it good money. And it’s deserved. What bothers me is the attitude. If you’re gonna sell guns, be an FFL and are required to accept transfers as a condition be as good to that customer just as you are to someone buying a gun from you. Either way it’s revenue and ultimately good for your business.

I’ll repeat, if I can get a pistol for $100 cheaper online I’d be stupid not to, whether the LGS has it or not. My preference would always be to go local and support the local economy and LGS. But if I can save $100+ and buy extra mags, a holster and ammo, then that’s my choice every time.

Admittedly my anecdotal negative experiences with 2 FFLs isn’t necessarily a reflection on all FFLs. Like I said, my buddy is an FFL. I respect the hell out of any entity supporting the 2A.

Finch slight hijack here. What was that PSA AR15 blem model you posted a while back. Not sure if it was a Sabre or a model with a FN barrel?

Not many, if any at all, will have an FN barrel in it. I tried searching but couldn’t find anything in my post history. This is all I could find on their website:

My FFL will sell at his cost. I got a M5 lower (308) from Aero and it was dirt cheap compared to online pricing.

Does it just for the fees, deals in cash.
