I sprayed trifluralin, also known as Treflan, right after planting my sunflowers.
What is the next step for clean sunflowers?

Treflan should be incorporated (disced in)

White Bear is right. Treflan won't have much of an effect if it isn't incorporated.
Looks like we have a rain coming to the TX-LA-MS area on Thur afternoon or Friday. If you have time I would go back and spray a mix of Dual and Spartan. If you can't find the Spartan, use a stiff rate of Dual. A rain helps to activate it.
Then once the sunflowers emerge and are about 8-12" tall you can come back over the top with Select (the generic is Volunteer) for grass control.
If you planted Clearfield sunflowers then you can come over the top with Imazamox (Imox is the generic) at the same time as your Select
That's about all you can do. Other than fertilize.
The other thing you could do is cultivate with a field cultivator if you have a high plant population

Which co-op?
Is it Clearfield or Perdovik? That has a lot to do with how you handle it.

madison county coop.. Perdovik.
More reading I have done, I think I am going to be ok. It rained right after, and from what I see a good rain will get it into the soil, might have lost 10% effectivness.

Being clean when you plant is a huge help.
Gramoxone, Metolachlor, and Sulfentrazone on the day you plant. Plant and spray a couple days in front a good chance of about a 1+” rain.
Select and Zidua over the top within about 3 weeks of planting. I can’t remember if you can spray metolachlor over the top, but metolachlor will be a good bit cheaper than Zidua… But Zidua is the tits for residual control.
It’s tough to not have a few broadleaf escapes, but being clean at the start and not waiting too long on your second application (overlapping residuals) will get you a long ways in growing sunflowers.
