A Muppet Family Christmas vs A Muppet Christmas Carol

My vote goes to Family Christmas. It had the original Muppet cast and even had a Jim Henson cameo.

I tend to like original Muppet stories. Muppet Wizard of Oz was god-awful. I love the Muppet Babies scene in Family XMAS.

I was just about to give it to Christmas Carol but then I remembered that horrible song Scrooge's girlfriend sings that totally sucks the life out of the movie for a good 5 to 10 minutes. There are also a few editing issues that make it seem like the movie originally had some plot points that were cut out at the last minute.

That song is actually cut from the dvd release of the film because they said it was "too sad". Both of these are 10 times better than the Xmas special with Whoopie Goldberg playing God.

lol maybe that's what I remembered about the editing. its been a few years since I've seen it so maybe I saw a TV version that cuts it? I know my VHS copy has it b/c I would usually fast forward through it.
That song and "Cheer Up Charlie" have to be the two songs from musicals I hate most.

Muppet Christmas Carol is one of my favorites. I've never seen the other one.
