hard to believe it's been that long. still one of the best movie soundtracks ever. it surely can be argued that prince is one of the most talented ever at his craft. writes music, writes lyrics, plays all instruments, and plays them great, lead vocals on music and produces music. if his name is not at the top of anyone's list , you sure don't have to look far to see his name

I liked his Batman soundtrack too. I would say it's up there with Purple rain for me.

Yeah man. Purple Rain holds up even better for me than it did years ago. It basically grows better with age.

My wife just told me that Pharrell did the soundtrack for Despicable Me 2. It made me instantly think of Prince and Batman/Purple Rain.
I think Prince is way better as a traditional musician than Pharrell.

You have to purify yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.

So after watching purple rain yesterday, I started googling prince and once thing let to another and i ended up on this video by Kevin Smith discussing the time he met Prince. Very interesting if you have 30 minutes to spare to listen to the story.
