In fact there are a number of prominent scientists that use dinosaurs as basis for Creationism theory or Intelligent Design theory.

T-Rex is a good example of how what we think we know about dinosaurs evolves over time as new discoveries are made. For a long time, as recent as when I was a kid, it was believed that T-Rex walked virtually upright and dragged it's tail on the ground like this....

It was not until later when scientists began to think it walked more like a bird...

And I think in addition to this there's been a good deal of debate on whether or not T-Rex was more of a hunter or more of a scavenger.

Well, Alligators were around during the time of the dinosaurs, but they're not actually dinosaurs themselves.

Why not? What is the definition of dinosaur?

What is the definition of dinosaur?

A unique rock formation that resembles the bones of imaginary monsters invented by non-believers.

Here you go. This answers your question rather well.

quote:

Crocodiles and dinosaurs are both classified as types of Archosaur but they are on different branches and therefore different groups.

The biggest, most obvious difference is that crocodiles walk on sprawled limbs that stick out the side of the body whereas dinosaurs walk on erect limbs held below the body.

In actuality very few dinosaurs look anything like crocodiles. Some dinosaurs are bipedal, some fly (birds) even most the quadraped dinosaurs dont look like Crocodiles.

The most crocodile looking dinosaurs are probably the herbivorous ankylosaurs. These are covered in scales, armor and have a low profile. But even these don't really look like crocodiles.

Not all dinosaurs are covered in scales. There are some groups which are covered in feathers. All crocodiles are covered in scales.

These days mesozoic dinosaurs are generally thought to be warm blooded. Modern day dinosaurs, the birds, are also warm blooded whereas crocodiles are cold blooded.

I wanted to be a Tyrannosaurus Rex more than anything in the world, I made my arms short and I roamed the back yard, I chased the neighborhood cats, I growled and I roared, everybody knew me and was afraid of me, and one day my dad said "Bobby you are 17, it's time to throw childish things aside" and I said "OK Pop", but he didn't really say that he said that "Stop being a fricking dinosaur and get a job".

But I do remember that this man claimed that all dinosaurs were herbivores before the flood & a few after the flood became carnivores.

I've argued on this forum about this...I shite you not. I was told, on this very forum, that since dinosaurs lived along side man "pre-fall" and before the fall there was no death, that meant that all animals were herbivores.

All of them...

Those teeth, I was told, were for...wait for it...cracking open coconuts.

When any belief you hold forces you to do THAT kind of mental gymnastics, it's time to release that belief, or quit bitching when rational people point and laugh.

How do we know the scientists pieced the bones together correctly? I mean I can make dozens of different things with the same Lego pieces.
