If you think banning ideas that are unproductive or not good for humanity is how to deal with them...perhaps you need to move to North Korea.

Political activity is limited-

e) No employee in the classified service and no member of the Commission shall

Participate or engage in political activity.

The Louisiana Constitution defines "political actiivty" this way: "(C) Political Activity Defined. As used in this Part, "political activity" means an effort to support or oppose the election of a candidate for political office or to support a particular political party in an election. The support of issues involving bonded indebtedness, tax referenda, or constitutional amendments shall not be prohibited."

Furthermore, LINK

You may:

b. Publicly support or oppose issues of public debate or election other than in support of oropposition to a candidate or political party or faction.

None of that even matters if a faculty member at LSU isn't considered a "classified" employee. LSU's website doesn't make it clear if they are or not as "Faculity" is it's own category in addition to one for classified employment and another for unclassified.

I'm a conservative and I agree with this. I believe in the constitutional right to peacefully assemble in protest to something one wants changed.

But, when that protest reaches to things like "death to America" or, truly, "death" to anything, anyone or any place, then the "peaceful protest" turns to a active threat and, as such, immediate law enforcement action should be taken to neutralize the threat and, whether acted upon or not, it remains a threat.

Honestly, I don’t mind. Protesting is a core American right and allows normal Americans to see that the radical wing of the democrat party supports terrorist organizations. Once they break any laws or campus rules, that’s when you bring in the fire hoses. They probably need a bath anyway

I agree but there are permitting issued which must be received. These clowns didn't do any of this. It's a ragmatag group of incels

Correct

I was just clarifying that there are prohibitions regarding political activity comparatively with similarly situated private citizens who are not public employeees.

30? shite. That was 5 more than I was guessing.

Unless it's sportsball related you are not going to get much of a gathering for anything on the LSU campus....except maybe a lot of crawfish. It's OK, Jeff can call out the LSP.....OR maybe the guard? Just for fun?

If this would have happened when I was there....1999, I would have set up like we used to do for tailgating and cooked a huge wash pot of cracklins.

I asked an Iranian co worker one time whats up with the Death to America, Death to Israel, Death ot this and that...He said they say Death to everything...its kinda like our use of the word frick...whatever. When people say frick Joe Biden they dont actually mean they want to frick Joe Biden.

Now IDK what these protestors here mean and I would venture to say some Islamist actually do mean death to such and such group but genearally speaking it doesnt mean they want to kill Americans.

You have to upload it to an image hosting site like Imgur

and then post it from there.

The account at imgur is free.

I didn’t say nobody could protest, I said protesting for unreasonable demands of killing innocent people such as “River to the sea” should not be allowed
