More disinformation from the MSM.

1. Trump isn't even in the White House yet.

2. The White House rule in question is Obama's WH policy. Trump can do what he wants once he gets in office, including change Obama's policy and institute his own WH policy.

quote:

President-elect Donald Trump encouraged his followers in a tweet Thursday to "buy L.L. Bean," a move that could get him in trouble should he send similar tweets as president.

"Thank you to Linda Bean of L.L.Bean for your great support and courage. People will support you even more now. Buy L.L.Bean," Trump tweeted Thursday morning.

Politico reported that such a tweet would violate a White House policy prohibiting the endorsement of products.

The Office of Government Ethics prohibits executive officials from using their position to endorse organizations, products or people, a regulation that President Obama extended to include presidents themselves.

"We strictly forbade this when I was in the White House for the President and everyone else," Norm Eisen, Obama's former ethics czar, told Politico. "How can you ask others to follow it if he doesn't?"

While Trump's tweet Thursday did not break any rules, similar tweets as president would, unless he should choose to change the White House policy.

Of course. And while your at it, drive a big pickup truck with a gun rack in the rear, and read your Bible while dining at Chick-Fil-A.

Did I forget anything?

It would be unethical if he tweeted that as president.

Michelle Obama: first lady-to-be, fashion plate and now, online pitch. Mrs. Obama surprised J. Crew when she wore one of its outfits on her Oct. 27 appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.” Dressed in a $148 pencil skirt, a $148 yellow and brown tank top and a $118 yellow cardigan, she seemed to be promoting both fiscal prudence and the overlooked appeal of mustard-colored clothing.

"I want to ask you about your wardrobe,” Mr. Leno told her, alluding to the news media reports that Sarah Palin had a campaign clothing budget of $150,000. “I’m guessing about 60 grand? Sixty, 70 thousand for that outfit?”

“Actually, this is a J. Crew ensemble,” Mrs. Obama replied, to cheers from the audience. “Ladies, we know J. Crew. You can get some good stuff online!”

A spokeswoman for the J. Crew Group said the company had no idea Mrs. Obama would wear J. Crew until it began seeing teasers of her “Tonight Show” appearance. But it moved quickly to capitalize on it.

Marketers bought “Michelle Obama” keywords on Google, Microsoft and Yahoo, built a page on the jcrew.com Web site that promoted her outfit, and told call-center representatives how to handle queries about Mrs. Obama’s fashion.

By endorsing them he would be openly playing favorites with corporations as president. It's not illegal I suppose but it demonstrates poor judgment. It's the same thing when he randomly calls out a company for doing something he doesn't like. It has an element of fascism to it.

well for the dumbass 60 million that voted for Trump and its obvious Trump thinks it is okay, but for those of us with a brain, its really not.

the whole 'one nation', 'all of us', 'im President for everyone' thang is always so pesky and troublesome for narcissitic ego maniac's like Trump

Yeah no. She held no elected office and was asked what she was wearing. She didn't take it upon herself to openly promote a brand as Trump did. There's a difference.

Good God, man. You think that whole thing wasn't scripted and rehearsed? You think she wasn't acting as an agent of her husband? If you really believe that, you're naive beyond belief.
