This is fricking retarded

It's the only way the chemistry department can hit diversity numbers for professors/ instructors while doing the least damage to actual study of chemistry.

It is indeed retarded though.

You can do this at almost every university. Even in STEM colleges. It’s gets way worse when you move in the humanities.

Louisiana has the LAMP(Louisiana alliance for minority participation) program. Puts non Asian minorities in college research in summer, gives them fat stipend.

I had a student when I was in grad school. He was going into Sr year at Gambling, couldn't do basic solution prep. Couldn't do basic stoichiometric calculations. I couldn't task him with making HCl(aq) solutions.
I'm not talking like he was missing a small thing. He had zero fricking idea how to do anything.

Other students from lamp program I saw were largely similar.

In industry I often train new chemists and lab techs. Often just out of college. The kids we got in LAMP program were almost all seriously deficient.
These achievement gaps are a result of not taking school seriously. They largely prioritize step shows over learning basic shite.

Stop sending your kids to these institutions. They are all infected to the core with this bullshite. The only way to fight it is to kill the income.

If I was black I would be insulted and demand the university to withdraw this "course" immediately.

I can only imagine what the periodic table looks like.

I wonder what kind of chemical bonds are called?

When bonds are broken, do they continually reform bonds with other afro elements to reproduce? Do they get any benefits for multiple couplings?

Do my questions meet all DEI criteria?

Rice athletes have to take and pass a science class. Maybe this replaces "Rocks for Jocks".
