Best case scenario and if he wants a shot at the presidency going forward..
He'll endorse the frontrunner, Trump, and he'll go back to being a good governor for his state. And if Trump wins he'll work with Trump to remove fed power and return it to the states.
My biggest concern with Trump is that he'll try to fix the federal government through reforms instead of removing their power. He'll need the support of good governors to make that happen.

If he wants a future in politics he will back Trump.
I doubt he will recover from his mis step.

Ron's rise to the top happened because of his support for Trump - remember how close he came to losing to the homosexual crackhead, Andrew Gillum. His fall from "Golden Boy" status also was due to his opposition to Trump. DeSantis would be an absolute fool to support anybody but Trump. He needs to support Trump and position himself to be Trump's successor.
I heard Dan Bongino say that Nikki Haley wants DeSantis to drop out. I don't think so. If DeSantis and/or Vivek drop out, then the gap between Trump and Haley gets wider.
The only reason Haley would want DeSantis to drop out is if he is beating her AND she thinks Trump is going to be forced out of the race. Haley is the only globalist, errrr, moderate, still on the ballot. I don't think she can find a lot more votes.
