They are out right liars, so it shouldn't be a problem for them whether they are real or not, to just say, they are fake.
They have to know someone indisputable has the evidence. Who? We know the FBI has them, but who really trusts the FBI now? Well, maybe the left and the media.

For example, do the Republicans or the FBI have any video evidence of Hunter bringing in his laptop to the repair shop? If they deny that Hunter ever went to the repair shop and the video surfaces, it will be much worse for them.
Rudy, Bannon and their team have had this laptop for MONTHS. They've spent a lot of time verifying and reverifying its authenticity. The Dims don't want to be caught in another lie in denying its authenticity.

I'm still in UTTER F*CKING SHOCK that someone representing Hunter from Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath actually called AND SENT A F*CKING EMAIL saying that they wanted Hunter's laptop back. Faegre Drinker is a huge national law firm with offices around the country. You would think that someone would have taken a step back to evaluate what the f*ck they were doing and asking for.
