Wolfe City Texas Unarmed Black man killed by officer

Tonight, the officer has been arrested by the Texas Rangers for Murder.
The story as it is currently being told: A local "hero" (not my words) who was well known in the community for his community service, high school football heroics, motivational speaking. Came to the defense of a woman who was being attacked/harassed. Officer shows up, ends up tazing the good guy, then immediately shoots him. He was unarmed and presented no threat to the officer.
The thing about this one, the guy who got killed is within the orbit of my wife's family in TX. By all accounts, I've heard he was truly a good guy. On Facebook, the support for the deceased by respectable white people has been universal.
This happened two days ago, I've been watching it fairly closely, there are some protests going on around the country now for this.
I'm not trying to be a nancy, but this appears to be a bad shooting. Start paying attention to this one.

Picture of the victim and the cop, Sorry about the source, looking for a different one.

From their website Wolfe City Texas has 3 officers.

Just what this Country needed. :sigh:

Surprised there's no national news on it that I have seen. Hopefully justice is served, whichever way it may go.

If it's true, they should put that cop in the stocks and place him in the town square.

Notice the difference in Red States verses Blue States...

It's coming, the story has been percolating slowly on twitter for 2 days. There hasn't been any real information released until they charged the guy with murder tonight.

You admitted that the information you have on this guy and his history is from Facebook and second hand accounts from your family members
Excuse me while I wait for impartial sources. I’ll probably be here the rest of my life.

Sounds like a tragedy and a crime. Is there any indication the incident was racial?

The race mob doesn't like incidents that are universally condemned. It's too unifying. They want people on the right arguing in favor of the cop and against the usually culpable perpetrator.

What did the "good guy" do to get tazed? Cops don't tend to just taze and shoot people being calm and passive.

So fricking tired of seeing stories like this before the facts come out and the court case is complete. I literally don’t give a frick about the media’s he said/she said rendition of what happened. Sorry if that sounds cold, but I’m done.
He resisted arrest and was shot, unfortunate and sad situation but that’s why you just go along with whatever the cop is asking you to do then have your day in court. I don’t know a single “angelic innocent model community member great human being” who resists arrest when a cop tries to cuff them.
This is yet another case of a “”“murder””” where the story being presented by the media doesn’t add up at all. But that certainly won’t stop the incoming riots

BLM will ignore this one IF the past practices continue. For some reason they only get pissed when the shooting is justified.

This one looks especially bad (as far as he has character references). I wonder when they will release the tapes?

He got arrested. What’s to protest?
Posted on 10/5/20 at 11:40 pm to Chromdome35
Is there video of the incident? I suppose none has been released yet, but is there any that we’re waiting to be released?
I’ll wait until all the facts come out before I react.

Do you have any details that were missing from the posted article?

If the alleged guilty party has been charged and arrested, what is the problem?

Probably thought he didn't have to comply with the officer's commands. That always seems to be the common thread in these shootings.
fricked around, found out.
