Time to get the 'Here we go' train going. A lot incoming and outgoing signings need to start happening now to sort out the squad.

Still, I'm ready for Saturday vs. Everton

Bummer the way it’s going down with Timo. He’s a hard worker and I really wanted to see him succeed. His work at Leipzig was incredible.

Aston Villa and Chelsea can confirm that the clubs have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Carney Chukwuemeka.

Can’t say I know too much about this youngster. This was done without any rumor and speculation though. Odd.

Villa fans on twitter seemed bummed he was leaving and he was drawing interest from other big clubs. Loan him out and let him try to earn a spot next season I assume?

Sarr on loan to Monaco.

Looks like targeting De Jong, Fofana (prob cost too much?), the Brighton guy who’s name is escaping me that City won’t pay for, and need a striker left to close out the transfer market.

Sounds like we are very close to signing Marc Cucurella from Brighton. He gives us good depth at LB.

Lots of De Jong chatter this morning. Todd is doing some work in these last few days of the window.

Throwing Alonso and Azpilicueta to lower the price tag would be great too.

Graeme Bailey continues to insist that Chelsea end up with CR7.

I'm mixed on CR7. The guy still has "it" and would be an instant improvement at striker. However, he could be a mess for the clubhouse.

We are a much improved squad with him in it, so I lean towards "go for it" as a short-term solve. Trust that Tuchel can manage him effectively...

Marc C deal almost completed. Brighton saying it isn't complete. Cowell on a loan or permanent with buy back clause appears to be what's holding it up. Provides some depth at LB so that's a positive.

I am surprised we don't rate Emerson more...he played well in the Euros and seems like good depth behind Chilly. More athletic than Alonso but not as good at crosses or free kicks. seems like he has the makings of a backup for Chelsea but rarely gets an opportunity.

Kenedy is the other random guy on the roster...he is flashy but it has just never clicked.

Dave stays

Squad numbers as if Aug 4
quote:

Billy Gilmour, Ethan Ampadu, Kenedy, Ross Barkley and Michy Batshuayi are among the players who have not been assigned a squad number.

Missing Players

Vale and Colwill not included either

55 million quid is a lot of change for a left back. I know Tuchel likes his defense, but damn…

TT knows we can’t score, so we’ll need a strong back line. And if Todd is willing to pay for it…

For a glorified backup? Chilly was elite when healthy last year.

Love Chilly and you are correct. Plus this backup has David Luiz hair which is a bad omen.

Why rake Mount off instead of Jorgy. Jorghino hasn't added anything to this match
