Can you post your long list of guys in their prime going to Saudi this summer for us? I can't keep track of them all.

Koulibaly to Saudi official

Not saying he’s in his prime anymore but he would be the best CB in MLS

Yet strangely MLS teams would punk them. Also, I don't think MLS should be chasing these types of players anymore and aside from Messi and a couple others, mainly for publicity, MLS isn't going after those types. No need. Bring in SA talent that you can potentially sell later at profit. Saudi can have all these dudes looking for a bag one last time. It'll be a short term bump to their profile. I'm actually kind of confused because it seems like you want MLS teams to be in the market for these guys when we both know its not a good investment?

Right now MLS is clearly the better league

The Saudis have no real youth development, if this keeps going and Saudis get prime players it will project the league upwards. Nothing is worse than an Arab dick measuring contest

MLS still brings in dudes on free transfers looking for one last bag. Just look at the top earning players. A majority of them have not been good business

But if MLS is ever to be a top league it’s going to have to eventually buy players on transfer fees and compete with other leagues for these players in their prime.

The owners are too cheap though

But if MLS wants to be a development league then it’s current path is fine. But we don’t need Don and others saying we want to be a top league or it already is

Define "top league." There's probably 120+ first leagues in the world. MLS is around that 90th percentile.

Like is Ligue 1 a "top league?" They mainly are propped up by PSG, otherwise they might be the 7th or 8th best Euro league. They don't really attract top talent (aside from PSG which is an anomaly) nor have a ton of money to spend. According to CIES they are a major selling league.

See the benefit that the US has is they have the strongest currency in the hemisphere and they can get cheap talent in. They don't need to get into bidding wars to pay a ton for guys to come in. They willingly will come here. It's one reason why I'm still bearish on the Argentine League. The problems are getting worse. Inflation is at 110%. Those teams are in a bunch of trouble. 28 team league too! That's the #2 league in the hemisphere supposedly according to people like you. I think MLS makes the jump in the next three years to permananetly put themselves in the #2 spot in the hemisphere without a doubt from even naysayers.

Liga MX is not doing great to where is has been in the past. The talent pool is shallower and it is evident with the national team. It will not be much longer until MLS can pass them. They already are beating those teams regularly as it is.

The French league produces some of the best domestic home grown talent in the world bru

That alone helps it be one of the better leagues

It’s good quality football

That’s what it’s supposed to do with that young talent and then it gets sold off

Then they reload with more young talent

The French league influence of high quality players is all over Europe and it’s national team

You are failing big time with the point you are trying to make

And your point is the league shows how strong it is by other leagues playing with their players, not the players staying in the league. I mean it's not even my argument. The UEFA coefficient is going to have France behind the Netherlands next year and just a few points ahead of Portugal who actually took their place at one point this season. Their coefficient is closer to the 8th place league than it is the 4th place league. I've given facts in this post and the last about CIES. Can you give me any facts that show the league is benefitting from the talent in any other way than sales? Because the sales are great if it means your league is rising. Newsflash, it isn't. Take out PSG and the UEFA coeficient is way lower. Your argument is the one that doesn't make sense. It just seems you cherry pick your arguments to fit the league.

Bruh, LAFC got waxed in a two-legged tie against Club Leon......Club Leon. LAFC, the self proclaimed power in MLS, got handled easily by Leon.

You trying to shite on Ligue Un is a weird flex. Take Ajax out of Holland and you are left with PSV (who has been hit and miss in Europe) and Feyenoord who hasn't done shite. Save me the Alkmaar argument. Marseille, Lyon, Lille, Monaco and Rennes would be heavy favorites to win MLS. Buksa was a 2 to 1 game to goal ratio in MLS for 2 years and couldn't get off of the bench for Lens.

Common sense will tell you a league and it’s structure still have quality if it’s producing some of the best players in the world

Those talent young players keep the quality up, it’s funny you brought up Portugal and Holland

Both do the exact same thing but neither are as good as the French league

Like Girth said take the giant club out of either league and it’s the same shite you are saying about France

You are just pulling random talking points that are not helping your argument

SCH metric > UEFA metric, got it. Whatever dude. This isn't even a shite on L1 or pump MLS discussion. There's things that aren't black or white. According to the guys who are literally responsible for determining the strength of the leagues and giving out European slots, France, Portugal and Netherlands are roughly equal, and all three aren't very close to 4th. How is that random? You are just a master deflector. You're all poor opinions and laughing emojis and little substance.
