I've bought all my TVs on Amazon. No issues.

Even if there was, they make it so easy to return.. just schedule a pickup the next day and they'll come get it from your house.

I bought via Amazon a few years back and it was a 65" TV. They contract out the delivery to delivery companies and the guys who delivered it were very professional and the box was hardly scratched.

Plus, if it is damaged, Amazon will take care of replacing it pretty seamlessly.

ETA: I should mention I bought it via Amazon Prime, so it was sold by Amazon.com, not some random.

How you think they get to the stores? They don't build them in the back behind best buy. Buy off amazon and have no worries, just make sure it's actually from Amazon and not a 3rd party. Amazon will right any wrong.

Big difference between a large freight shipment of palletized TV and one single TV riding around in the back of the UPS truck.

Groupon has 70" for $869 after coupon. Not sure good that is or not but sounds great for a 70"

I figured that was coming. You're right. I would order directly from Amazon, no 3rd party, and have no worries. Amazon is the best customer service hands down. They do shite that they shouldn't, but that's why they have so much repeat business, especially mine.
