The kid needs an expansion module and has suggested a 1TB model that costs $150. I know nothing about this stuff. For you guys that play video games, any suggestions? Amazon link would be appreciated.

Seagate made an expansion SSD optimized specifically for Xbox which is what the first reply sent. IIRC, you can probably run other SSDs with Xbox but they'll run slower.

External USB HDDs can only run Xbox One and 360 games. They can also backup Xbox series games. You must have one of the expansion drives in order to run a Series game from disk.

Edit to add

They may have started allowing playing Xbox X|S games from external USB SSD, not 100% on that. His son is definitely asking for the NVME expansion card tho
