No vacations here, don’t really like to travel and kids wouldn't like it either
We might hit up some of our favorite fast food places and relax, McDonald has a decent kids play area to escape the heat as well

The boss is taking all of us estimators and PMs to Kalispell, MT to fan out and fly fish for a week. He's leaving it up to me to select the date. I have no friggin' idea what the snowpack was like this past winter so I'm clueless as to when the meltwater runoff will subside enough to allow for good flyfishing before it gets too hot and fishing is curtailed in the mid-afternoons to avoid stressing the trout. I guess I ought to be making a few phone calls to the shops up there and checking the forecasts.
Hopefully we won't have the excitement that we did last year with a big-arse grizzly at Polebridge on the upper Flathead.
Apart from that, for the family vacation, I reckon the wife will direct us to visit Sandy Hook, MS to see my best friend from college all those years ago and spend time with his youngster to get him ready to play in Tiger Band in a few years' time. (The kid just started trumpet this year in junior high.)

Sedona this weekend (mountain biking)
Zion/Bryce mid-May (camping, hiking, mountain biking)
Lake Powell/Horseshoe Bend/Antelope Canyon (camping, hiking, kayaking)
Del Mar/Pacific Beach, CA over July 4th (surfing, relaxing)
Northern Minnesota mid-July (friend's 50th bday)
Sturgis, SD early August (not definite)
Glacier NP/Whitefish, MT early September
Interspersed will be quite a few trips to the cabin near Heber, AZ. The key to living in Arizona and dealing with the heat is getting out of town as much as possible between mid-May & mid-Oct. I think I used the pool at my house twice last summer.

Probably going to spend a week on the Jersey shore. I’m also hoping to hit up a few new ball parks (maybe Rangers and Nats?).

We are in the process of taking our daughter to all 50 states. This summer is #48 Washington (Seattle, Mt Rainier NP, Olympic NP) and #49 Alaska (cruise).
We live in NC and are also visiting all 100 counties, so we may do something towards that.
Have to go to Myrtle Beach and Orlando in June for tournaments.

Kid-free trip to Sonoma end of June with the wife and some of our other friends for someone's 40th bday. Got a huge house in Glen Ellen. Looking forward to the trip.

Wish I was going to be able to take a summer vacation somewhere but will be recuperating from hip replacement surgery.
Which approach is your surgeon doing and how old are you? I've had both replaced (not at the same time). You should still be able to enjoy a trip during the summer.
