However I have listened to Vivek many times and he always goes on a rant to scare people that Donald Trump will never ever be re elected so vote for him.

A few years ago I was listening to the radio show of Trump's campaign chair in Virginia, John Fredericks. He had on Dick Saslaw, a Democrat and former majority leader of the Virginia State Senate. Saslaw recalled a conversation he had with Mark Warner and Governor Blackface (Northam). Blackface told him that as much as he disliked Trump, he wished he could stay in office just one more year because he energizes Democratic voters to turn out like no Republican has ever done before.
Even if Trump were to somehow win in 2024, it would be pointless. We're not getting a comfortable margin in the Senate. At best we win WV and make it 50-50. Trump and JD Vance are doing everything in their power to make sure that Sherrod Brown wins re-election by nominating Bernie Moreno instead of Frank LaRose, the Ohio SOS who outperformed Vance by more than 250k votes on the same ballot. Trump will certainly endorse Matt Rosenthal in Montana and he'll lose to Jon Tester for the 2nd time in a row. We won't pick up any seats in 2026 and will probably lose NC, making it 51-49 Dems.

Do you think they wouldn’t have tried to keep other Republicans off the ballot if they had any iota of a chance for it to happen? They absolutely would’ve tried to keep Romney and McCain and W off the ballot if they had the chance to try. Trump is not some special case of Democrats hating a Republican.
