Let that sink in.

His Birthday is July 5, 2003.

He is 2 months younger than Griffin Herring…

When you look at him in that light, him putting it together halfway through what could have been his sophmore season isn’t insane.

It was always crazy when people would say “he is who he is”

Yes. He reclassified and then graduated HS a semester early. So what would have been the spring of his junior year in high school was his freshman season at Vandy.

which is wild.

Idk if he was determined to go the college route it would get him to the draft a year earlier, but why not pitch in HS a couple more years and then see where you go?

like pitching in the sEC at 17 ain’t easy.

Brady Neal was another one that reclassified as well
It's not like these kids are getting held back either

not sure why you would want to reclassify but to each their own,for those that want to go to college it gets them to that third year earlier

No different then Colin Hurley at QB - I would rather be a year older competing with college aged athletes and he's gonna redshirt anyway unless you have several injuries at QB

There was a flurry of guys early enrolling around that same time. Robert Moore at Arkansas did the same thing. There are still kids reclassifying every year. Josh Pearson and Brady Neal did it to get to school sooner. Konnor Griffin and Cam Caminiti did it to take advantage of a weaker HS draft class.

But Little did both. Which is nuts.

We had a catcher enroll early under Mainieri but later transferred to JUCO and then to A&M. Michael B something or other. Either way, no one that I'm aware of that enrolled early had a particularly smooth college career. Robert Moore was about the best case scenario, but even he had hiccups.

It's very difficult physically and mentally. Christian Little should be commended for working through it as well as he did and always being a good teammate and keeping a good attitude.

Well, he's managed to take his best pitch (98mph fastball) and make it his 3rd best pitch.

He deserves every ounce of credit he's going to get. I think he's only going to look more and more dominant.

Something the rant has a hard time grasping is that players can improve

People on here bitch about our young players going through struggles but want us to have recruited or kept guys on other teams that are performing this year but had the same or worse struggles as the guys they're bitching about at the same age.

Spot on! I assume Little is out of eligibility after this year, correct? Might not matter. He will get drafted high enough to go if he keeps pitching like this.

These guys picked what they construed as the best avenue for them to better themselves as fast as possible for what they considered the best baseball program in the country! I fully concur with their thinking!

He’s been wearing glasses since Vanderbilt. He’s just worked hard and received good coaching. Happy for him.
