Skenes is a once in a life time player. Jay went get him. He was the leader with Crews. After losing them players. Mix in Dugas, Belly. That’s big time players to replace. We had a horrible season to start. Found our footing now we rolling. Let’s see how far they can go. They will be a hard out.

ETA: This is also false. Just looking at the major stats, team ERA is lower than 2023’s. Thats also not taking into account the absolute tear the pitching staff went on last season starting in late May.

To be fair, I don't think anyone is saying that.
Saying Jay is awful is only a little more ridiculous than saying right now that this is his best coaching job ever or one of the best LSU baseball coaching jobs ever. Now, should we make an Ole Miss-like run to the CWS... then yeah, it'll go down as his best coaching job.
