He could have just settled under the ball yesterday. Made it look a lot harder than it was. He’s been below average on defense this year

No way that ball was gonna hit that far down the fence. He had to jump, look how elevated he is in the picture. Go try Warby Parker, it might help.

You’ve never gone out of your way to say this about Braswell but have said it multiple times about Pearson and even talked about how bad Milam is defensively. You have also said this:

Nah it’s just crazy how many players get completely trashed when they make a mistake

I’m not certain with the height of the wall and the angle that ball was coming in that it doesn’t hit off the wall if he doesn’t jump. It was a great play and saved at least a triple. If that hits off the wall no telling what happens.

But to play along with the OP I would go with Skenes and Ks

If I ever speak about players in the manner that you do, put a bullet in my head. Saying Josh pearson is below avg on defense is not trashing him or unfair to him.

Lol I remember when you said Milam looked like a little leaguer in the field. Thats not a good analysis. Thats just shitting on a player. I don’t think it’s unfair to Pearson to say he is below average defensively, I think it’s pretty accurate. I think it’s funny how you will comment on certain players, but not others. Again, you have gone out of your way multiple times to say how Pearson is bad defensively, but haven’t done the same with other players who have been bad defensively.

I have no problem with fans criticizing players, that comes with being an athlete. You say you have a problem with it, but you are selective on which players it applies to.

“Dude saved game 1 of cws”

Goose, very true, but you can omit part of the statement and simply say

“Dude saved cws”

If he doesn’t make the catch in game one, Florida wins and follows up with a blowout in game 2 and wins it all.

Your warby Parker joke was funny so I went back & burned the tape to make sure I saw it right. He prob only needed a slight jump to grab it. But anytime the fence is in play, it becomes challenging. He still made the play a little more difficult then it should have been

It’s flat out wrong. Josh Pearson is an above average SEC defensive OF.

Oh shut the frick up.

Look at that picture in the OP and say that with a straight face. He's at the peak of his jump against the wall when he makes the catch. If he "just settles under the ball" it hits the wall and bounces into the field. Which if that had happened I have zero doubt that you would have shite on him for misplaying it and not jumping.

There is not a chance that ball comes down in his glove if he waits for it to come down. Larson is one who jumped when he didn't need to, and dropped the ball later in the game.

IIRC, he fielded 1.000 last year.

It’s hard to record record errors in the OF. If you know what a good OF looks like then it’s easier to register what plays aren’t being made
