Never fear progs, the HR dept is still full of communist and you will be favored over a more qualified non-lunitic.

MIT just said POC aren't as good as white people.

Or else those DEI hiring practices would've been just fine. Diversity would've made them better.

But nope.

Some dumbass leftist downvoting the posts..

This should not be celebrated, it should be ridiculed because who actually thought this was a good idea to start with?

Would the arse-clown that downvoted this post be kind enough to provide the name of the system that beats a meritocracy?

Thank God some of these institutions are waking up and seeing DEI for what it is (and what it most definitely is NOT).

Maybe the rest of the country will begin to slowly awaken from its stupor and start looking for the best, brightest, and most qualified without attaching racial, ethnic, or gender-bent prerequisites for hiring or awarding contracts. (Maybe.)

Call me a cynic but I'm guessing they're just going to call it something new. Children love their silly word games.

Hmmmm..... imagine that

Glad it only took them this long instead of pretending.

I will point out that they did their best to gloss over it

The statements don’t work? Or the people they hire don’t work?

Yeah…from what I read is that the eliminated the forced DEI statement not DEI itself.

And honestly, I would imagine that DEI is quietly being dismantled in a lot of places. It was a terrible overreaction to the George Floyd overdose.

There's a pushback coming in higher education.

Last week the University of Florida was named a "New Ivy" by Forbes magazine, their president shut down the protests with the "We aren't a daycare" statement and their research arm may have come up with the most effective cancer fighting method in history.

A lot of parents are looking at a place like UF and saying "This might be a better option than the Ivies"

Repeat that across the country.

What will they admit to being wrong about next?

The list of how much they were wrong about is overwhelmingly long, and the list where they admit it is wrong, is very short.

Board committees of engineering schools and technical institutes tend to think in a more objective manner compared to the Ivy schools so this isn’t surprising

They were definitely being told "no Im not doing that" by some super nerds.

Though I don't care so much about MIT as much as I do about medical or law schools that are doing this crap at graduations. That's evil

The first - elite institution?

What a crock of crap put in print by this 'journalist', MIT is not the first and nor can be pointed out as the first 'elite' uni to do so. Must be a pain to libs to have an institution in the NE to call out this BS.
