Former LSU Baseball player Blake Dean is reportedly stepping down as head coach at the University of New Orleans to "pursue opportunity outside of baseball." Per WDSU:
quote:

Following two years working under the legendary Ron Maestri, Dean was initially tabbed the interim head coach before officially becoming the Privateers’ seventh head coach on June 30, 2015.

In nine seasons, Dean went 256-220-1 (122–113 in the Southland Conference).

Dean led the Privateers to a winning record in eight of his nine seasons at the Lakefront.

He won at least 30 games in five different seasons.
Dean played for LSU from 2007-2010, helping the Tigers win the College World Series in 2009.

I know that he had a kid with a girl who went to my high school and was in my friend group while we were in high school. Don’t think they’re together anymore though. She’s crazier than a shithouse rat and from my understanding, so is he.

That really sucks but I can see him being tired of the grind like so many coaches have the last 5 years

Absolutely and the grind immediately at least doubled when they decided to let players transfer anywhere they want as many times as they want…..and allowed other schools to recruit these potential transfers.
