ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood has flipped his commitment from LSU to Michigan. Underwood later confirmed the flip on social media.

Underwood, a native of Belleville, Mich., just 30 minutes from Michigan's campus, is the No. 1 overall recruit for the class of 2025. He initially committed to LSU in January and was recently on campus for the Alabama game on November 9th.

Michigan reportedly offered Underwood $10.5 million last week to flip to the Wolverines.

The loss of Underwood is a massive hit to LSU's 2025 recruiting class, which is getting ready to sign in two weeks during the early signing period.

The Tigers lost four-star offensive lineman Devin Harper to Ole Miss last week, and four-star wide receiver Derek Meadows is on flip watch as signing day approaches.

Buckle up for an interesting two weeks ahead.

Shame on Coach Kelly for not matching or exceeding the Mich. offer..It was a must to sign Underwood. Now without a QB LSU will have 3-4 bad years ahead. Nuss is not a great QB and is only average SEC QB because he has slow feet and can not run or avoid the pass rush. No other QB at LSU is an Average QB,

No surprise. He is from Michigan. He never visited Michigan the whole time he was conmittted to LSU. WR Meadows, an LSU commit, visited Michigan, last
week. He posts, he is unlikely to accept Michigan’s $10.5 million bid, then took it down. That was a warning to LSU that they are in a bidding war. He intended on following the money, all along. He had a helping a bargaining leverage plan. Hopefully, there will be clarity on whether or not he exceeded LSU collective budget, to take the heat off BK over this. Otherwise, BK’s screaming at players on the sideline will be magnified as a deterrent to recruits.

Larry Ellison took it to 12M. Ellison is the second richest man in the world. He basically said whatever it takes to get him

He made the right decision. Baton Rouge is an enormous dump and LSU’s football program is circling the drain.

He'll regret it when he has no talent at WR and no development at the QB position.

LSU has zero of these things at the moment. In fact, those positions have actually REGRESSED.

12M is too much money to pass up. LSU offered 6 and that would be a lot more than any other player.

Paying unproven High school Kids 10 million plus. Reminds me of the NFL before the NFL rookie cap . Going to be a lot of bust making millions before the hit 20. Eventually something will be put in place because Fans will not want to pay 200 for a cheap ticket. Not sure LSU will be able to compete with OR, UGA, OH ST etc.. for keeping Top LA. products in state.

NIL is a slippery slope. How does the NCAA keep reigns on this to be fair to athletes and coaches loyal to their "commitments"?
