Following LSU's season finale win over Oklahoma on Saturday night, head coach Brian Kelly revealed that the player leadership council decides which uniforms the team wears each week.

In 2024, the Tigers wore six different uniform combinations. Here's a good breakdown of the looks this season, with game results for each combo.

The combinations aren't bad. What I like is the respect of keeping shoulder stripes and helmet logos the same, despite color shifts. Same with leg piping. What I STRONGLY DISAPPROVE OF, and LSU didn't do it, is erasing school colors (going with black and gray), removing stripes and changing logos. Overall, the locker room guys found a way to keep the inform traditional AND interesting. They are desperately trying to appease all parties. And I think they did.

Gold-White-Gold for all games except two, in which we wear Gold-Purple-Gold in one, and White-Purple-White in the other. That's it. And those two should be non-SEC games.

And get off my lawn with the recruiting crap. Alabama doesn't wear five different uniforms a year. Neither does Ohio State.

Both Alabama and Ohio State wear two uniform combinations. LSU traditionalists want the Tigers in one uniform, only.

Yall are both wrong... Ohio State has multiple alternate uniforms. The even have all-black and an all-red uniform

Big recruiting push by Kelly is why we are doing this. He is rebuilding our roster and program. We need to back him.

not a single complaint about uniform combinations were ever used during 2019. Proof that any outrage about uniforms is bullshite. Winning and losing is all that matters.

So there is proof that the uniform does not win games....like so many say

Yep. 3 losses in the traditional.

That's misleading. All the opponents we beat in alternate uniforms were big underdogs (S Alabama, Arkansas, Vandy & Oklahoma). We would have never beaten South Carolina or Ole Miss in one of those off-kilter uniforms.

Maybe we can compromise: if we play a good opponent, say S Carolina, Alabama, A&M, Georgia et al let's go traditional, always. If the opponent is a clear underdog, wear whatever suits your fancy.

Au contraire mon frere. Our two upsets, v. Ole Miss and @ SC, were both in TRADITIONAL uniforms. We would not have beaten them in one of the strange combinations
