BATON ROUGE – LSU was announced as a No. 3 seed for the NCAA Tournament on Sunday evening as the Tigers get ready to host First- and Second-Round games in the PMAC.

LSU will host No. 14 San Diego State in the first-round in the PMAC on Saturday. The LSU/SDSU winner will face the winner of No. 4 Florida State and No. 11 George Mason. Games will be played on Saturday and Monday in the PMAC with tip times coming later in the week. Tickets will be available on LSUtix.net, starting on Monday at 10 a.m. CT.

The Tigers are in the Spokane 1 Regional. Along with LSU, the other three top-four seeds are No. 1 UCLA, No. 2 NC State and No. 4. Baylor. LSU defeated NC State earlier this season in the Bahamas. The Tigers won last year’s Sweet 16 matchup against UCLA>

Coach Mulkey is in her fourth season at LSU and the Tigers have hosted NCAA Tournament games every year under her leadership. This marks the fourth year in a row that LSU is a No. 3 seed. The Tigers won the national championship as a No. 3 seed in 2023.

Queen Mulkey is the coach. Never count her out. We were capable of winning every game. Some teams peak at the right time. Let’s see how juiced up the players are for the first games, at the PMAC. They need to body up on the opponents bigs with Del Rosario and wear them down.

This seems like a good setup to get back to the final 4

This is a team who is built on 3 players. If they could get some meaningful minutes, points and rebounds from 3-4 others they wouldn’t run out of gas versus good teams I. E. USC, TX etc. No depth and no real shooters, Williams is too hot and cold and lately a lot more misses than hits. They don’t have a true center to match up bs UCLA, TX, USCe etc. They just run out of gas in the 4Th quarter bc no good subs.

They beat all 3 of those teams on a neutral court.

They lost to 2 No 1 seeds in close games, one without their leading scorer and 1/2 without one of if not the best player in the country in Morrow. Johnson was hurt since Texass was Morrow as well.

My only question is how N.C. State is the 2 seed in the region? It doesnt really matter, would still play 2 games at home but we beat them and I didnt think they were good.
