Anyone heard anything new on Dresden: Twelve Months?

Seems like it's a couple of years past due.
I keep reading that Jim Butcher went through some tough times recently? Anyone know what that's all about?
If so, perhaps that was translated into some of the past two Dresden books ... I dunno. Seems like it.
Probably a good time to end it all with Twelve Months if the damn thing would just finally drop.
It's almost reached G R R Martin GoT frustration levels.

He got divorced and had housing issues for a bit that caused much of the delay I think. But yeah, the all at once slowdown is annoying. Particularly since his next book is Cinder Spires 2. It's one thing to work on two series when you are putting out two books every year and a half, but when you are putting them out every 3-4 years it's pretty annoying.
As far as finishing the series goes, his plan has always 22ish books with a final apocalyptic trilogy after that.

Is it though? Peace Talks and Battle Ground weren't that long ago.
His website progress bar has actually been moving for Twelve Months. Shows 1/4 done, and I remember seeing 10% or so when checking earlier this year.

It's been 3 years since Battlegrounds, and it was five years between Skin game and the Peace talks/battleground duo book. So he's not off on how long he's taking.
The fact he was so consistent for so long getting them out every year to year and a half also makes it worse for a lot of people I imagine too.
I think GRRM, Rothfuss, Lynch and a few other just completely stopping series and being doubtful on ever finishing them has made people overly sensitive to this sort of stuff.
Hopefully in Butcher's case it was just the real life stuff getting in the way and he gets back in the groove. When I saw him on a panel at comic con back in 2004ish he seemed like a really humble and genuinely good dude, so I can't see him going all GRRM.
And it's not like the quality has suffered in his writing, the last three books were all great (at least if you consider Peace talks and battleground one big book).

In this bish! His lag over the past 7-8 years is mid boggling. I remember when CS 1 came out and I was thinking, ok so he wants to focus on another series for a bit. Fine. It took him 8 years to write a sequel? Ridiculous.

Just checked his status bar for twelve months and it’s finally at 100%!! Been checking it for a year+
Heard in addition to above he also had bad back issues with surgeries…
Can’t wait, rereading 14-17 starting tonight to prep…

He made an announcement a few weeks ago that he finished. Had a few Comicons/ etc to do, and then it's heading to editing.
I randomly grabbed one about 10 years ago( think it was book 4) and enjoyed it. So when my brother asked for recommendations for a series, I suggested it. He loved it, and this past Christmas, bought me the entire set in paperback. Lmao I read them all in 29 days, and now I'm jonesing like a mf.

I am still quite sore with him, however, for the events in the last book, lol.

About Twelve Months
Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard, has always managed to save the day—but, in this powerful entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling Dresden Files, can he save himself?
One year. 365 days. Twelve months.
Harry Dresden has been through a lot, and so has his city. After Harry and his allies narrowly managed to save Chicago from being razed to the ground, everything is different—and it’s not just the current lack of electricity.
In the battle, Harry lost people he cared about. And that’s the kind of loss that takes a toll. Harry being Harry, he’s doing his level best to help the city and his friends recover and rebuild. But it’s a heavy load, and he needs time.
But time is one thing Harry doesn’t have. Ghouls are prowling Chicago and taking out innocent civilians. Harry’s brother is dying, and Harry doesn’t know how to help him. And last but certainly not least, the Winter Queen of the Fae has allied with the White Court of vampires—and Harry’s been betrothed to the seductive, deadly vampire Lara Raith to seal the deal.
It’s been a tough year. More than ever, the city needs Harry Dresden the wizard—but after loss and grief, is there enough left of Harry Dresden the man to rise to the challenge?

I’d have thought there would have been a book before dealing with the wedding.
But I guess we are running out of time of books before the planned apocalyptic trilogy to close out the series.

It just says betrothed in the blurb right? So would be engaged but not married yet most likely. Which is basically where we left off in the last book.

Mab set the term of the betrothal as being a year.
So this book is set right at wedding time.
So that story point is getting resolved in this book.

Yeah, kinda what I figured, and makes sense. I misread your statement as saying there should be a book before that deals with the wedding rather than you thinking there would have been a book in between the last one and this one dealing with the wedding.
But he did switch around the books a bit I think, originally I think the next book was supposed to be Mirror Mirror.
