Favourite Audiobook Narrators

Mates, I know I'm not the only one who purchases audiobooks on account of another man's vocal timbre.
Who are your favourite performers, and what wild journeys have you gone on because you like hearing their voice?
For me, it's Grover Gardber and Stefan Rudnicki.
I discovered Gardner when I was listening to Gore Vidal's works, and that led me to the Civil War, which I became a huge enthusiast of because of Grover's voice accompanying me around the world as I listened.
Rudnicki narrated "Ritz and Escoffier", an absolutely divine book by Luke Barr that covers the dawn of luxurious living during the gilded age. I followed Rudnicki an a bizarre journey through Nazi Germany and the psychedelic medications being invented and tested on soldiers and prisoners alike and then some science fiction (which I am still not a fan of, sadly).

Tim Gerard Reynolds (Red Rising series)
Roy Dotrice - RIP (GoT). He had a unique voice for every character, no matter how small. A master of his craft.

Mate, I believe sir Roy was a member of the Guernsey potato peel pie club

I just finished listening to the First Law/Age of Madness/Standalone trilogies by Joe Abercrombie. Narrated by Steven Pacey. Gotta say Pacey has been my favorite so far.

Michael Jayston was good in the John LeCarre books I'm working through on Audible. I just looked him up and saw he passed away this year.

I’m reading the series now. Finished First Law and now I’m on the first standalone. I think Glokta is my favorite character for him to narrate so far, especially because of all the internal dialogue.

Ray Porter is up there for me, along with some already mentioned.
Jeff Hayes does a phenomenal job on the DCC series, haven't heard him on anything else though.

He does a really good job with Gorst, too. I can't decide if Gorst or Glotka is my favorite.

Steven Pacey is pretty incredible with The First Law series. He had to do I don't know how many voices over the course of the series and no two voices sound the same.
Ray Porter was extremely impressive with Project Hail Mary.
Slowed down in my reading of Mistborn so downloaded the audiobook and the narrator for that is really good.
Andy Serkis was good with Lord of the Rings.

Those are probably the two voices that that is how I hear them in my head now when I'm reading. I like his Nicomo Cosca a lot too.
Listened to an interview with Abercrombie and he said the same thing with Glokta. It's just so good.

Michael Kramer's and Kate Reading's work on Wheel of Time and all the Sanderson stuff is top notch.

Best author reading his own book: Neil Gaiman; his voice just works for his writing and oddly...
Best overall narration: the ensemble cast of narrators that did Neil's American Gods. I think it was actually only like about six people, but it sounded like each of the many characters actually had their own voice.
I hate it when a male narrator does a high pitched female voice. Sounds fake. Also hate fake accents.

Definitely do a sample on audible if it’s someone I’m unfamiliar with and make a decision on if it’s tolerable or not
But sadly I don’t pay enough attention to have favorites
Edit: I do enjoy Douglass Murray narrating his audiobooks. That soft British accent is very soothing to me.
Its a shame he didn’t do his first book though as someone else did “ a strange death of Europe” which becomes more and more important daily about the rise of migrants in Europe and the change of their overall culture

Michael Kramer's and Kate Reading
Spectacular. Kramer in particular is in a league of his own.
Peter Kenny did The Witcher.
Jeff Hays did Dungeon Crawler Carl
Both of these dudes are outstanding.

I’m a huge Douglas Murray fan and yes, he should narrate all his own books

I’m a big Jeff Wheeler fan and enjoy Kate Rudd’s narration
For history audiobooks I prefer a deep English accent. Michael Page was great in Persian Fire. Robin Sachs was fantastic in The Tudors.

We have the same tastes, got any other recommendations?

Michael Kramer and Kate Reading are easily at the top of my list and no one else comes close

R.C. Bray does a wonderful job with Expeditionary Force series. His version of The Martian was the best too, but Audible lost the rights and got Wil Wheaton (Shut Up Wesley!) version instead.
Ray Porter is great in many things
Jeff Hayes in DCC
As mentioned.
My all time favorite Audiobook narration is Ray Porter in Project Hail Mary and Jim Dale's versions of the Harry Potter Series. He does phenomenal for that series and had to do over 200 voices for the different characters.
