The Lord of Demons (The Burning Book 3) - by Evan Winter - DELAYED to 2023

Winter just announced he’s still working and there is no release date or further information. Possibly won’t be released in 2022 at all.
I was really looking forward to this being released early 2022.

Seriously though, I’m still working, and it looks like Lord of Demons won’t drop in 2022. I wish I’d managed to finish faster, and I hope to make the extra wait as worth it as I can. Most of all, thanks so much for reading the books!

I no longer read fantasy series until all the books are published. Thank God, Abercrombie gets his books out.

Noooooo! Was hoping this and Red Rising book 6 would come out this year. No official word on that one either as far as I know. Guess I gotta find a new series to keep me occupied.

You can set your watch by Abercrombie's book releases.

Nothing official, but there are placeholders on different websites with the title "Lightbringer" and a release date of something like 12/22/22. Could just be a place holder though because, like you said, nothing has been announced.
Edit: 12/7

I just ordered Mistborn: The Final Empire. Looking forward to reading it as soon as I’m done with “To Sleep in a sea of Stars”

I mean to be fair to other authors there, Abercrombie had basically written his entire last trilogy before the first book was released. Which is a smart way to do things if you are established.

I think that’s how Michael J Sullivan does all of his series. He finishes the entire series, then releases a book per year while he writes his next series.
Says he likes doing it that way because then he’s not married to anything at the end of the series. He can always go back and edit if he comes across ideas he likes better.
Definitely seems to be the best way to go about it.

That's basically what Abercrombie did with the latest trilogy, and yeah, definitely the way to go I think. I still need to finish reading Sullivan's prequel series at some point, read the first one forever ago and never got back to it.

Correct. His new series just started. Released summer 2021, summer 2022, and summer 2023.

I liked it better than the Riyiria trilogy. I liked Riyiria but I loved the prequel series even though I’m blanking on what it was called
ETA: Correction after looking it up. I forgot there were two Riyiria series. Legends of the First Empire is his best imo. Tells the story of the war between men and elves.

The first one, Nolyn, was excellent.

Betting Darrow dies and Pax defeats Lysander. Idk how else it could end, but that's why I like PB. You never really know.

Imho, the Riyria Revelations and Chronicles are far superior to The First Empire prequel. First Empire is a more traditional fantasy offering ie elves, dwarves, magic, etc. I prefer a more folksy, medieval style of fantasy. It's just personal preference. I'm debating whether to read the Nolyn trilogy.

If you weren’t crazy about the First Empire then you probably won’t love Nolyn. It’s basically just a continuation of the first empire series.
