What exactly was Voldemort's end game?

I got to thinking about this the other day, and I don't think Voldemort ever had a publicly stated manifesto or established goal. He hated muggles and violently opposed those who didn't, but beyond that what the hell was he fighting for? Did he just want to cleanse the world of muggles? Because he sure as hell didn't do too good a job of it as the two wars between Voldemort's followers and those of Dumbledore's alliance remained relatively secret and hidden away from the non-magical people of the world.

I think near-term he wanted to purge the wizarding community of mudbloods and Muggle sympathizers. Long-term he was probably angling for a Grindelwald-esque world domination and the enslavement of Muggles.

I think his general goal was to gain power over the wizarding world. That included ethnic cleansing of mud-bloods and their friends. Beyond that it is no stretch to imagine an all out war for dominance over the muggles as well. So power for power's sake (including power over death) would be V's aim.

To not die.
That's why he was so focused on Harry. He had so much faith in the prophesy that he couldn't focus on anything else.
Once he gaurantee that, the rest was gravy. He just didn't want to die and power was a means to that end.

That as well. Voldemort might be the most well named villain ever. His name in French has 2 meanings: Flight of Death or Flight from Death. Both are equally appropriate for him. No one feared death as much as him, nor did anyone else define it to that degree.

Immortality.
His biggest threat became Harry when the curse rebounded on him. The entirety of the series is focused on eliminating the biggest threat to his eternal life.
