My guy I befriended while working for House told me he saw him again. ND QB coach. He came around while I was working there as well.
Pretty decent track record, and would follow BKs playbook pretty closely. But he might be in line for another position? Who knows.
Either way, BK has had him over for lunch twice.

81st in total offense in his one season as an OC.
He’s on the same level as Sloan
No thanks. Keep looking.

Might just be learning from our staff on offense. Coaches do this all the time. They host other staffs to do some learning and/or teaching.
This is how Joe Brady met Coach O.

Stop looking and give the job to Sloan, the only QB coach and offense Nuss has known. It would be criminal to change our offense and coach at this stage .

He's never worked with BK, only Denbrock.
Makes much more sense for him to stay put with Notre Dame.

Maybe he is going to be the next QB coach w/ Sloan promoted?

I doubt we bring in a QB coach on top of Sloan, Sloan would just keep those responsibilities. Still need to fill the TE coach position, and we have about 20 TEs these days so you’ll want one of those
The OC limbo is much more related to hankton than Sloan imo

I was thinking you'd bring in an analyst to assist Sloan with double duties. Sloan isn't not going to be QB coach.
Plus we only have room for one more on field coach and you still need a TE and/or ST coach.

I agree with this. I think Kelly is waiting for his staff to be finalized, and I think Hankton will be a wildcard for a while. I could see him taking a smaller school HC if offered or return to the NFL, if he doesn't see a real opportunity to advance his career here.

We'd damned well better change our offense. We don't have anyone with the skill set to run the offense JD5 ran last year.

Playbooks can be 500+ pages of plays and variations maybe 1000 plays. They aren’t going to be asking guys to learn 500+ new plays. They will call different plays within the same offensive system based on current skill sets. The RPO philosophy will be the same. He’s not JD, but Nuss is still a good athlete.

He did wonders for Sam Hartman’s career…!
I hope this is a joke.

He’s got Denbrock, Denbrock can show him everything we did last year.

Some might like this story. The gang is back together.
In 2017, Cincinnati had a 4-8 season. The following season, the head coach moved his OC/QB’s coach to OC and TE’s coach. His RB’s coach, then went to QB’s coach. The DC there was a guy named Marcus Freeman. The OC and TE’s Coach, Mike Denbrock. The new QB’s coach Gino Guidugli. The head coach? Luke Fickell.
So now, at ND. The Head Coach Marcus Freeman. The Quarterbacks Coach/Pass Game Coordinator Gino. Now Denbrock is the Offensive Coordinator/Tight Ends. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
