Conservative Treehouse noted this stat a few days ago. If ex factory pricing is rising, it means wholesale and then retail will also rise meaning inflation is still increasing at an increasing rate.

And dont think chini will help, their PPI was a whopping 12% plus in November, tack on shipping costs through the roof, and their pricing will increase more that US domestic goods.

I never dreamed an administration could fck up so many things so quickly. Chavez is envious.

That's not hyperinflation, but it's going to be damned uncomfortable over the next year or so.

This really sucks at least with President Carter the CD rates rose to almost 14%.

CDs are paying less than 2% for 5 years and inflation is at 7% and still rising.

It's unfair to label others as "stupid" for having a vision for America different from your own.

I would venture to say the political philosophies expressed by my brothers and sisters are pretty mainstream in the America of 2021. Just look at the words of my brother, along with his wife of more than 50 years, in a letter that I just received detailing their "year in review":

Our Viewpoint:
Politics. We're afraid it's too little, too late with climate change. We view our Democracy as fragile and teetering. We were horrified with The Big Lie and attempted coup/Jan. 6 insurrection. The White Supremecist fascists are a terrifying, serious threat, but not necessarily the worst one.
Pandemic: We wonder when or if COVID, with all of its variants, will ever end. We have no patience for anti-vaccers.
School Shootings: Nine years after Sandy Hook and still no gun-safety laws. Unconscionable!

So I believe the above statements are probably the zeitgeist of America today, and not "stupid."

The “full of stupid” comment has now been confirmed. Thanks for clearing that up.

Politics: Climate is always changing. It's what it does.

We aren't a democracy, we're a Constitutional Republic.

You were horrified bc you're all pussies

Pandemic: It won't end bc you fricks won't let it. Any sane person realizes this shite ended in March 2020

School shootings: We have gun safety laws. Criminals break laws. Shocking.

Your whole family is stupid.

So in other words, they parrot every liberal shibboleth known to mankind almost verbatim and you want us to think this is . . . normal?

WTF!!
Hyperinflation is 3rd world stuff! Typically, an economy has to see an inflation rate of greater than 50% for at least a month before economists use the hyperinflation label.

I meant in a nice way. You guys wear helmets and masks

Why were the dinosaurs riding around carbon laden vehicles causing that damn ice age? Or was is the fossil fuel they worked at that caused the heating and cooling?

agreed, we aren't a fan of ANTIFA and corrupt FBI agents either

I'll let Jessie and Bubba know you feel the same way. I think Jessie has a trial coming up, he's about to go scorched earth and tell his side of the truth and get those MAGA racist thrown in in jail. I know the jury will side with him, the evidence is clear he's innocent

I'll keep this one simple, I'll steal a line from the Movie Taken... "Goodluck"

Yeah I don't get why people breaking the law give no fricks they are breaking the law. It's like their criminals and shite and don't follow the rule book

Sure, more than welcome to an opinion like everybody else. I feel the bigger issue are the ones we use to take care of our families. I'm literally paying more for everything. Lunch meat, gas, energy. As an adult, I have a mortgage, car note for 2 more years, and hoping to have a baby on the way by June 2022. I can't be afraid to live life, I'm truly sorry you and your family don't feel safe for the aforementioned issues. You won't have control over any of those things, but if it makes you feel better, my buddy from HS just had his first child and she came out of the womb with covid and lived. So if a newborn baby can make it, you'll be alright

Thus why I clearly stated that it's "not hyperinflation".

We haven't seen inflation like what we have now in a generation, much less the compounding of that with what's still to come will take us into the realm of not having seen it in generations. That will inevitably cause some to claim it as hyperinflation.

Remarkable in a thread about historically high levels of inflation that destroy average families, it didn't even make your list of things that concern you. Or to put it more succinctly you are a fricking idiot

You are so far disconnected from reality in a bubble that I can't even figure out how to talk to you if you legitimately believe that this is the firm beliefs of mainstream America. Mainstream America is not the radical Right that many on this board believe it is, but it sure as he'll isn't this, which is pretty radical Left. I have no idea why you would poll those with you in your bubble and just assume that's it! That's what everyone believes!

OK… So we on our way to galloping inflation, and then to hyper-inflation. Too much liquidity, not enough production.
