That makes a lot of sense because it’s not a good movie

"Be sure to drink your Ovaltine...Ovaltine? A crummy commercial? Son of a bitch!"

Miss Shields "Where's Flick?

Ralphie Narrator: "Flick? Flick who?"

Like there could have been another kid in the class named Flick.

The old man gets a blue ball from mom.

Imagery at its finest.

CSB

We slept in the house a few years ago, first year they did it, cost 3 times what we paid now and is booked a year or 2 now. One of those rare occasions where the timing was just right. One of the coolest things I’ve ever done, after the tours end you have the whole house to yourself until they start up again in the morning. We ate supper and had drinks at the bar across the street where the old man hung out during filming.

I've seen that movie so many times over the years that I pretty much know it by heart and have seen, and laughed at every nuance of the film that makes it so great.

Hell, the narration alone is worth a watch and Jean Shepherd, also the author of the story the film is based on, does an excellent job in vocalizing the ebbs and flows in the film's action.

Also, do they still air the "fa ra ra ra ra" scene is has that been canceled?

I haven’t watched the end yet, but I did notice “Arab Trader” was still in there

I’m asian and I find it funny as hell. So what that some Asians have a hard time pronouncing certain words? That’s part of comedy is something odd but true
It's white progressives that are offended by it. Same goes for the Washington Redskins and Uncle Ben's rice.

Haven’t seen Ernest Saves Christmas last couple years. My kids loved it. I guess it must have offended some group and they canceled it.
RIP Jim.

I don't really care for it either. I'll take home alone 1 and 2. Elf. Charlie Brown Christmas. Fred Clause. Ernest. The time Allen Santa movie. Prolly a few others in there before A Christmas Story. I watched about 20 minutes last night and then went outside and turned on some tunes.
